#Birminghambloggermeetup

Saturday evening I attended the Birmingham Blogger Meet-up, arranged by the lovely Gemma (who writes Button's Blog), Clare (who writes A Bit of This and That) and Sara (who writes Pretty In Pink).
Sadly due to work commitments I couldn't attend the whole day's events, however I did manage to catch up with the girls for a meal at Red Pepper's, in the Mailbox.
I can hand on heart say it's the first time I've ever been to dinner with 26 women at one time! Weaker men would have run for the hills I'm sure.......I jest of course, as they were all so lovely.

It was great to finally speak face to face with a lot of my fellow beauty bloggers that I've spoken with over Twitter. Some I had met before, some I was meeting for the first time. Due to the sheer length of the table, sadly there were a few girls I didn't get to speak to as much as I'd liked. Be warned, the next meet-up I WILL be chewing your ear off (not in the Mike Tyson sense of the meaning of course....).

I was so impressed with how much effort the girls had put in to making the evening special. From the decorated tables, to the individual name tags. They had evening contacted PR agents and managed to provide THE most amazing goodie bags for all the bloggers. Not an easy task when there's 27 people! A big thank you to Gemma too for going out of her way to make up a special 'male blogger' friendly goodie bag especially for me, featuring Elemis, Herbalife, Premae, Mistair, Blend Collective, Glam Glow and some rather peculiar looking gold under eye masks from Jamela Skincare to name but a few. I really appreciate it, it made me feel like a real Pampered Prince!
Victoria from Victoria's Vintage even baked a cake to celebrate the evening, which looked and tasted amazing (check out here website).

A big thank you to all the organisers for making it a special evening for everyone involved and inviting me along. Also a special thank you to Gemma for providing me with the images for this post (naughty blogger for forgetting his camera!).

I will be back now doubt with reviews on some of the lovely products I received in my goodie bag soon.

  5. Looks like a great event and I might add that your blog layout is looking brilliant! Has it changed or am I just really, really slow on the uptake?

The Skinetica and Jamela products are amazing but a word of warning; tread carefully with the DHC Cleansing Oil as it broke my out like nothing I've ever tried before xx
