Eysilix is the second product from Indeed Labs that I've tried to date. It arrived through my door shortly after I started trailing Hydraluron.
Hailed as being the worlds first ever eye cream to contain 10 peptides and promises to tackle 5 of the main concerns for the eye area;
- Instantly lifts
- Minimises the appearance of dark circles
- Reduces the appearance of puffiness
- Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Helps to eliminate signs of stress and fatigue
Think of this as an All-in-One, the Swiss Army knife of eye creams if you like.
So what are peptides and why are they in an eye cream? Put simply, peptides are short-chain amino acids. Where two amino acids have been joined together to form a peptide bond. They are the building blocks for protein and are able to penetrate the epidermis and send signals to cells, informing them how to function. The can aid collagen production, strengthen capillaries and increase microcirculation.
Peptides to note in Eysilix are; Eyeliss to help reduce puffiness and bags under the eyes, while increasing skin firmness and elasticity. SYN®-TACKS a combination of two peptides to improve tone and increase skin firmness. Dermaxyl to smooth wrinkles while strengthening the skins natural barrier function. Eclaline to improve radiance, oxygenate and nourish the skin.
The cream comes in a plain 15ml tube and has the light consistency, similar to what you'd expect of any regular eye cream. It absorbs really well and you only need a small amount of product to gentle pat around the orbital bone.
I've been using this morning and night for the last 5 weeks. Firstly, I didn't start the trail with all 5 of the concerns so didn't expect to reap the maximum benefit. My main concern being fine lines (crows feet) starting to form. I occasionally have a little puffiness and rarely suffer from dark circles, generally after a heavy night out. Plus I'm only 30, so I would hope I don't need lifting either!
That said one of the first things I noticed after applying the cream was a 'tightening' feeling around the eye area and even though darkness is not a problem for me, I have also noticed a 'brightening' effect. My eyes look a little more awake than usual.
The biggest plus for me is the reduction in my fine lines, which was my main concern. It's pretty amazing how they have almost been erased!
My only gripe is it's a little too good and after noticing my results, the other half has been pinching it. So I'd like to request either a bigger size or some form of combination lock on the tube. I jest of course!
As with Hydraluron, Indeed Labs have more than impressed me with Eysilix. I would definitely repurchase it. In fact I'd buy two, to stop the other half from pinching mine!
Available from Boots and retails at £24.99.

Boots need to put a 3 for 2 on these products so that I can buy them all! I don't usually use eye cream, but I am finding it difficult to sleep recently and it is noticeable. I may have to make this my Saturday purchase. :) x
ReplyDeleteIt's so good Jess. Although considering you're olde than me, showing no signs of ageing around your eyes and NEVER use eye cream! I think I should keep this one all to myself As I need it more than you LOL ;)
DeleteAm so happy to see your review on this as i've been umm-ing and ahh-ing over buying it for ages! Adding it to my list...
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing. This better than eye creams I've used that are double the price (and I was happy with those at the time) x
DeleteDo you think it would be good on super puffy eyes? my mum has always suffered and I am keen to find her a great cream to try ( if i can ever get her to try anything that isnt olay that is!)

To be honest it depends what the cause of the puffiness is? Are they prominent eye bags or just puffy some of the time.
DeleteIf they're there all the time then no cream in the world will ever get rid of them completely. Sadly as we age some people age prone to fatty deposits which fall into the area beneath the eye, giving us eye bags. Only surgery will get to of this completely.
What I would say though is if you're looking for an eye cream to help the appearance, then this is definitely worth a try & the best I could recommend.
It's also worth remembering with eye creams to apply them to orbital bone. The skin is so thin & absorbent around the eye that applying eye cream to close to the lids can actually make eye bags & puffiness appear worse! I hope this helps a little. X
One thing I forgot to add which can help if its fluid in the eye, then a gentle lymth drainage massage can help. Either see a therapist or get her to gently press & roll (with the ring finger for minimal pressure) start from the inside of the eye, follow along the orbital bone and finish just past the temples and abover the ear (this is where you lymth nodes are). Try & buy a jade eye roller, they really help!
DeleteThank you so much for your response you lovely thing- I have the feeling they might be the type of puffy that is just due to age although she might as well use the best in case it helps even a little so i will definately recommend this one. some are so ridiculously expensive i was unsure where to start!
DeleteYou have also just re affirmed what i thought i knew about application, coincidentally just last night i was discussing eyecream with a couple of friends last night and I said it should go on the very top of the cheek bone and around the orbital bone and not on the actual lids- is that right?
I have sene the jade roller mentions quite a lot recently- definately interested- would you use that right along the parts you would usuaslly press and roll along? Thanks so much for your info it really is a great help xx
No definitely not the lids. The skin is so thin around this area, you'll end up with hooded eye lids if you apply creams, even eye creams, over this area. Stick to the orbital bone.
DeleteI have an eye jade roller, it's shaped in such a way it generally finds it own way and fits into the fatty pocket beneath the eye really nicely. Once you get the hang of it you can apply quite a bit of pressure to, but best to start light. Please let me know how you get on! x
Fab- glad to know i havent been doing it all wrong myself! Looking at the ones on ebay some are so cheap i can only assume they arent real jade and much use- will continue my hunt for an affordable one :) xx
DeleteYou've got me at 'instant lift' hahaha will try this one out as I am searching for something good enough to cover my slightly darkcircles

Definitely give this a try then. It's better than eye creams I've used twice the price!
DeleteI've got this but haven't been sticking to using it, maybe I need to. I'm starting to worry about fine lines around my eyes. I know I am probably a little young to but I can see them. lol. x
ReplyDeleteEye cream, like all skin care, needs to be used religiously to see the benefit. I started seeing lines around my eyes at the age of 22 so I've been obsessed with eye treatments since then. They're probably just dehydration lines though so nothing to worry about. Just slather that cream on!!
DeleteSwiss Army Knife of eye creams: you genius! I love this baby too.
