Bodhi Pep Noir

I was introduced to the luxury delights of Bodhi Bath & Shower Therapies last year, not only through using the Bodhi Essential Skincare Kit but also meeting the founder himself, Elijah Choo. Since then, I knew I wanted to experience more of the range. In particular the full size bath & shower therapies.
I'll be working my way though all of them I'm sure, but to get me started I bought two gift sets, comprising of a full size bath & shower therapy and a travel size body moisturiser. The first I'll be reviewing is Pep Noir.

As I've mentioned in my previous Bodhi posts. I see their products as much more than just an everyday shower gel or body wash. The word 'Therapy' is no accident. When you use a Bodhi shower product, there's some serious aromatherapy going on. I've used many so-called aromatherapy shower products, but Bodhi is one of the few where the aroma is as strong in the shower, as it is the bottle. Plus the scent stays on the skin for hours after the product has been rinsed away. They are also concentrated, so you only need a small amount. Due to how long they last and the fragrance pay-off, I think Bodhi are one of the few luxury / high-end shower products that are actually worth the price point and good value for money, because lets face it, if you're going to spend £23 on a shower gel, it has to be worth it!

Pep Noir is all about 'Energising', so is great for first thing in the morning to awaken the senses. Particularly on these cold mornings. As with all Bodhi fragrances, they comprise of top, middle and base notes, just like any fine fragrance.
Pep Noir has top notes of Bergamot. Middle notes of Black Pepper, White Thyme, Ginger, Coriander and Cinnamon. Base notes of Frankincense, Patchouli and Oakmoss.

It's completely sulphate-free, instead using cleansing agents derived from coconut oil. I use this with my Bodhi bamboo cotton flannel, which together with the lactic acid in the Pep Noir, leaves the skin feeling clean, soft and gently exfoliated.
Another thing I like to do in the shower with Pep Noir, if it's a particularly sleepy morning, is hold the cloth up to my nose and take a few deep inhalations. It's similar to holding up chloroform I guess but with the opposite effect. Anyway, it makes for a very therapeutic shower experience and really works at waking you up!

I love it that much, I even featured this product in my Simply Beautiful 'Green Buyer's Guide for Him' magazine feature.

If you're more of an evening shower person and would prefer not to kept awake all night by Pep Noir, you may be interested in my other Bodhi purchase, Jasmine Fall which I'll be reviewing soon.

Pep Noir retails at £23 for 250ml or it's also available how I bought it, with a 40ml body moisturiser for an extra £2. Which is well worth it! Available from bodhi.uk.com.
