I'm not going to lie, I almost named this post "The Day One Of My Dreams Came True", but I though that may be a little OTT. Although, those who know me, will tell you it's not actually that far from the truth.
I've been a fan and customer of QVC for many years. Way before I started blogging about beauty. I daren't work out exactly how many TSV's or EasyPay options I've bought over this time, purely out of fear of causing a heart attack.......for the other half I mean. So, imagine my excitement when I was invited down to the QVC television studios for a behind the scenes tour. Multiply that excitement by about a thousand, when I learn it's to meet one of my idols, top celebrity facialist, Sarah Chapman. Then to discover that my two favourite presenters (Catherine Huntley and Alison Young) are also on air that evening! I'm still not entirely sure how I managed to compose myself, but I managed to pull it together (just).
We were treated to a tour around the studios, visiting all the behind the scenes areas and where the shows producers work their magic. We were shown around the dressing rooms where all the shows guests get ready before going on air, people like Liz Earle, Lulu, John Barrowman and of course, Sarah Chapman.
I also got to meet presenter Catherine Huntley. Catherine has got to be one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I thanked her for all the support she's shown to me over Twitter and we had a picture together in the green room. My cheeks were hurting I was smiling that much, I was positively beaming (which I think comes across in the picture!).
The highlight of the tour for me was actually being in the studio while Sarah Chapman and Alison Young were on air discussing Sarah's Skinesis product range. For someone who has watched QVC from home for many years, to suddenly be in the studio, sat watching the show from behind the camera, only meters away, was quite surreal.
After the show, Sarah Chapman and her team sat with us and discussed her product range, including her brand new Neck and Chest Rejuvenating Complex. We got to play with and experience the products and ask all sorts of skincare questions. Sarah told us that many Men visited her South Kensington clinic for facials and often preferred the more floral scented products from her range. Surprisingly to me, the product Sarah recommended most, for someone who had suffered with acne in the past but was looking for anti-ageing ingredients, was her Dynamic Defence moisturiser, due to the high levels of Vitamin A in the product. I had expected one of the serums to be most suited.
Sarah was also kind enough to have a photo with me at the end
To top the day, as if visiting the studios, meeting your facialist idol and favourite QVC presenter wasn't enough, we were given the most amazing goody bags. Containing some of QVC's best beauty brands, including Elemis Skin Nourishing Bath Milk, Decleor 3-in-1 Cleansing Mousse and Sarah Chapman's new Neck and Chest Rejuvenating Complex. As well as a few other bits and pieces, including a QVC mug! I will of course be back with reviews on these once I've had chance to road test them (I've already road tested the mug in case you were wondering....).
I also got to meet some lovely beauty bloggers;
Tanzina from Makeup A to Z
Laia from Beauty Spot
Sabrina from A Little Obsessed
Lola from Beauty Geeek
All in all, not a bad way to spend a Thursday evening, wouldn't you agree?
Pampered Prince

Hope you had a great time.
